Importance of good design
Properly sized and installed the heat emitters will ensure lower running costs for the system life span.
Existing radiators may be retained or may need upgrading to a larger size to compensate for the reduced flow temperatures.
Under floor heating needs to be designed with low flow temperatures in mind typically 35 – 40oC, either of these emitter systems require approval of design to be eligible for the RHI renewable heat incentive payment scheme. We can advise on design and installation of under floor heating systems.
How does a heat pump work?
This highly efficient proven technology uses outside air temperature even on cold days to keep you warm. Just as your fridge takes heat from inside and disperses it through the pipework at the back, our heat pumps take the heat from outside, condenses it and uses it to heat your home.
Keep your existing radiators
It may be possible to simply replace your boiler with a modern heat pump, with very little modification to your existing system. This is a popular and cost-effective way of transforming your energy bills, quickly and with little disruption.
Perfect with underfloor heating
The most efficient way of maintaining an even, constant heat throughout your home is pairing a heat pump with underfloor heating. The subtle glow from under your feet is the most popular choice for new builds and the classic modernist look.
